We are committed to providing the best possible service to our guests whilst minimising the impact of our business on our local environment.
Our commitments:
Recycling of waste materials (glass, paper/cardboard, plastics, cans)
On site composting of garden and kitchen waste
Environmentally friendly towel policy (we wash towels left in the shower tray)
Towels and linen line-dried (weather permitting!)
Use of solar energy to heat water
General energy conservation practices – eg switching off lights, energy-saving washing cycles
Use of CFL light bulbs where possible
Maintenance of traditional hedgerows and trees for local wildlife and birds
Using local suppliers (where possible) to minimise transport footprint
Producing ingredients on site (Farm eggs, herbs, vegetables, apples & berries for jam)
Promotion of alternative transport options (cycling, walking, ferry, public transport)
We would be delighted to accept your recycling waste or advise you of recycling facilities on your planned travel route.
