Travel Connections

Driving times

  • Shannon Airport ~1 hr
  • Killimer Shannon Car Ferry (Kerry) ~ 35 mins.
  • Dublin Airport 3 hrs
  • Lahinch, Cliffs of Moher ~30 mins.
  • Doolin ~40mins.

Ferry to Kerry:
If you are travelling to Kerry, there is a convenient car ferry across the Shannon estuary departing from Killimer near Kilrush to Tarbet in County Kerry. It’s about a 35 min drive south on the N67. Follow the signposts once you reach Kilrush. This pleasant 20 minute journey across the Shannon Estuary saves considerable time and mileage over the road alternative and with the added advantage of perhaps spotting a school of dolphins along the way. If you’d like details of sailings, please ask or look up www.shannonferries.com
Quilty
Ferry to the Aran Islands:
There are daily sailings to these spectacular islands and it’s a trip we’d readily recommend, particularly Inis Mór and the famous Dun Aengus stone fort. The best way to see the islands is by bicycle which can be hired on arrival. A leisurely alternative is by pony and trap. The ferry leaves from Doolin (around 40 mins away) where there are numerous trips available, including the Cliffs of Moher cruise. If you’d like details of sailings, please ask or look up www.doolin2aranferries.com/

Shannon Airport:
We are an hour away from the airport. If you’ve got a flight to catch and you need help with on-line boarding, just let us know. We’d be glad to print off your tickets.

Buses and Taxis:
Bus Eireann (Mon to Fri): Departs Miltown Malbay for Ennis at 8.25am (arr 9.40am)
Bus Departs Ennis at 3.00pm (arr 4.30pm)
